Makeup Revolution - Goddess of Love Highlighter

Who doesn't love a little lot of highlighter?

I've been using the Soap and Glory one for a while now and love it! I put in a little order with Makeup Revolution and thought i would pick up another one (i mean a girl can never have enough makeup!) I chose this one firstly because of the super cute packaging! but also because the majority of my pearl highlighters have a blue undertone to the shimmer and this one looked a little different.

This triple baked highlighter has a pink undertone to the shimmer which i think adds a little more warmth to a look then a blue under toned one! Also the formula for this highlighter is a lot harder then my other highlighters, i guess thats the triple bakedness?! Because its harder is really easy to get the right amount of highlighter on the brush and build it up gently to get the desired look.

I think i actually prefer this to the Soap and Glory and the MUA highlighter because i don't overload on it and because its harder i not scared of it breaking up and covering the rest of my makeup in shimmery goodness! Plus its a bargain at £4.99

Whats your current favourite highlighter?

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette

Pinch punch first of the month! - The Christmas count down has officially begun eeeeppp!

I received my order from Makeup Revolution this morning and couldn't wait to share it with you! (So look out for a few different posts!)

I first thing i put into my basket was the Blush Palette in Golden Sugar. I chose this one because it has a great range of bronzers, blushes and highlighters. which would make a perfect stocking filler for anyone!

On the top row it has a white highlighter with golden flecks that is so super pigments its unbelievable! This would be perfect for people with paler skin but may be a little too white for if you have a darker skin tone. It would also look fab as a inner eye highlight!

Then there is a light pink colour with slightly darker pink flecks which gives a super natural highlight when applied its frosty but not overly so and is very similar in colour to the hourglass ambient blush in Ethereal Glow.

The next i admit does look a little  intimidating in the packaging with its purple colouring but again when this one is applied to the skin it gives a beautiful natural glow! Its not as shimmer as the first two shade so this one could be worn as a blush or highlight.

Then the final colour on the top row is a bronzer with a pinky gold shimmer, which would look beautiful for a contour colour for an evening out! This again would look lovely as blush i would liken the colour to Nars Orgasm in colour but with a lot more shimmer.

First up on the bottom row is the most subtle highlight of them all its it would be perfect for everyday wear, it offers a warm glow to the skin and would be more suited to darker skins then the first shade.

Next is a darker pink highlighter with silver undertones which is a dark version of shade two. This one again is warmer than shade two so would look great as a highlight blush.

Thirdly is the super golden bronzer with orange undertone. This one for me is the hardest one to know what to do with. Its a little too orange to wear as blush or and too shimmery to wear or bronzer so the only option would be highlight or eyeshadow. It is really warmed toned and would probably be great in summer when i have a little more colour but at the moment I'm super pale and just doesn't suit me at the moment

Last but certainly not least is the matte bronzer which is an orange tone brown so is perfect for adding a little warmth back into a look.

Overall i love this palette. Its super versatile and can create so many different looks with. Every single colour is super pigmented and a dream to blend.

Have you tried this palette yet? What do you think? xx

A Spot of Shopping

Every once in a while you've got to treat yourself right? - That's my excuse anyway!

Being a makeup girl through and through, I took a little trip to Manchester and picked up a few things - I won't go into too much detail as i will be doing an individual post on each so keep and eye out for that and follow me on Bloglovin to keep up to date :)

Firstly was the Urban Decay Naked Palette - Seriously cannot believe i didn't pick this up sooner serious love for this palette. I'm sure you have heard so much about the Naked palettes that you've started getting a little bored of the thing, but seriously if you haven't tried it, it is a must. It is so incredibly easy to create day-night looks and the formula is super soft and buttery. £37- Link

Secondly i picked up MAC Studio Fix Fluid - I actually went to House of Fraser for this buy, i haven't owed a MAC foundation so was a little unsure of which colour to get and i though HOF would be quieter than Selfridges so i  could get seen and make my purchase with out too much hanging around. Turns out i am NW15. £21.50 - Link

Then i picked up a MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre - I wanted a base that wasn't going to change the colour of the eye shadow greatly but also keep my shadow in place for as long as i needed it too - it was a huge toss up with Soft Ochre and Bare Study... I think Bare study will  be next on the list. £15.50 - Link

We then popped into Superdrug and again i am a little late on this band wagon but i really wanted to try the Make Up Revolution eye shadows i have heard so much about, i decided to go for the Iconic 1 palette which I know has been greatly likened to the Naked palette but i wanted to give it a try. £4 - Link

NYC are have an offer on at Superdrug at the moment where everything is under £2.50 so i thought i would pick up two little items to text out - the NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer which has an illuminus look - Link and the second NYC product was the Individual Eyes palette in Midtown Mauve - it says it is designed for people with brown eyes but i loved the colours anyway. it comes with four shadows an illuminator and a Primer Base. - Link
