Boots_Botanics_Hot_Cloth_Cleansing_Balm_Review

I really don't like talking negatively about a product but, I was that unhappy with this buy i had to share it. 

Its the Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm. I purchased this because i ran out of my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and needed something to fill the gap until pay day. So seeing this in Boots for £8 I thought what a bargain and its just what I needed.

Now i have never used a cleansing balm before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have heard so many good reviews about the Clinique balm so I was hoping this would be a good little dupe.

Well... it starts off good, the balm is solid in the tube but as soon as you dig your fingers in starts melting and makes it super easy to rub into the face. 

Then rubbing it into the face it is super oily and really hard to wash off. i felt like i had to wash my face with a face wash afterwards to make sure all the product was gone! 

Its not something I would by again, when I wash my face I want it to feel clean, not like i have rubbed butter all over my face!

Have you tired this? What is your favourite hot cloth cleanser?

    I've tried many face cleansers that I was unhappy with, I think it's hard to find one that works perfectly :)

    Ahh nothing will ever beat Liz Earle! What a shame though, would be great to find a cheaper alternative. x
