A Little TLC for The Locks ♡

Me and my boyfriend recently visited his brother and sister in law down in London, we had an absolutely amazing time and i got a good bit of advice for my hair too!

Nathan's sister in law is a head stylist at one if the Vidal Sassoon salons and she offered to give my hair a little trim which of course i was more than happy about - she did grimace slightly when i told her it had probably been a good year - year and a half since i had last had a trim! *naughty me!*

When she trimmed my hair she said that i has some breakage to the underneath of my hair and obviously had a ton of split ends, she also said that my hair was quite dry. I asked what she  would recommend to help it out and she said to try get a shampoo, conditioner and hair masque that has protein in it.

The protein with help the hair lock in moisture but also make it a lot stronger and less inclined to break. So i scoured Feel Unique and there is quite a few good - and pricey!- hair treatments on there, i really recommend the Aveda Damage Remedy range, it smells very spa like but works like a dream on the hair!

A bit of a long back story but today i wanted to share a masque that has done wonders for my hair and is a lot more accessible and affordable then the Aveda ones. Charles Worthington Salon at Home Mineral Hair Rescue Masque. I got mine from Boots for just £5.99, it comes in a good sized 150ml pot which is lasts for quite a while, i've used mine twice a week for about 3 weeks now and i still have half left.

This little masque has so many amazing ingredients for you hair like Argan Oil to nourish, Marine Minerals to aid recovery and helps hair grow and Conditioning Proteins which help replace the hairs natural proteins lost during heat staying and make hair stronger and more healthy looking!

The masque also comes in a little pot with a flip up lid so its really easy to get exactly the right amount of product and you don't have to worry about squeezing a bottle to an inch of its life when its getting toward the end!

The masque has made my hair look and feel so much more healthy. It super soft and so easy to brush through after a shower - i will definitely continue to buy this masque its super cheap and just amazing!

The Perfect High Street/ Drug Store Foundation? ♡

So as most of you probably know, L'Oréal has quite a few brands under its group such as YSL and Giorgio Armani, but somehow it still amazes me when L'Oréal Paris release something as amazing as this foundation!

I have been using this foundation for a good month now in conjunction with the L'Oréal Infallible Primer - which you can read about here and like most other people who have tried this is has soon become my favourite everyday foundation.

The formula is light on the face but still has a medium to high coverage, and easily covers up little imperfections. It blends super easily and i have had quite a lot of compliments saying how nice my skin looks!

The formula is Matte, but its not super matte, it still allows the skins natural glow to shine through a little and it doesn't dry my skin out at all and i tend to suffer from dry patches around my nose and forehead. The consistency of the foundation is more toward the thicker end of scale but i have found that its not cakey in the slightest - even with my pores!

The shade i picked up matches me perfectly - i have relatively pale skin with pinky undertones and Natural Rose is ideal! The only downside i can see to this foundation is that at the moment it is only available in 6 shades which is a bit of a bummer and the shade look like they are more suited to pale and medium skin tones, so if you are rocking a tan or have dark skin, you may find it hard to find a shade to match up with!

L'Oreal_Color_Riche_Lipstick_VIP

VIP Lipstick Lip Swatch

Since buying this lipstick a few weeks ago it has fast become one of my favourites. Its a perfect matte lipstick and what makes this super special is that the formula is really creamy and not drying in the slightest.

The is a perfect red toned coral, which makes it perfect for the upcoming months. Like i said the formula of this lipstick is super creamy which means it glides onto the lips like a dream without any dragging and the colour pay off, i mean wow these lipsticks are super pigmented and the colour is really buildable.

The colour is really long lasting and doesn't transfer when eating or drinking - which is always a winner in my eyes!

I adore this lipstick and there are so many other shades in the range that very from pinks to nudes to bright reds. They also have some shades in a satin finish if you are not a fan of matte. I will definitely be picking more of these lipsticks they are amazing!

The Perfect Spring Blush - Revlon Classy Coral

Revlon_Blush_Classy_Coral_KirstyLeigh

I love wearing blush, it adds a little extra pop to a makeup look and now the weather has gotten warmer i thought i should add a little coral to the collection! Classy Coral from Revlon is a beautiful warm tones pinky coral colour that would is perfect for a little pop of coral for spring!

In no way is this blush an in your face orangey coral. The blush is beautifully natural looking and its not lacking in pigmentation. The satin finish makes it really easy to blend out so its leaves nice subtle hint of colour and adds a little glow to the completion plus the colour stays put all day without fading!

Its not the cheapest of blushes from the high street, but i love the shade and the packaging is really handy to have in your handbag, because of the little brush and mirror that are included in the compact.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet - Frambourjoise ♡

Super late to this game but i have absolutely fallen head over heals fro the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet range, not even just one colour... them all!

These liquid lipsticks glide effortlessly onto the lips and it feels super soft and can only be describes as velvety! The matte formula means then when the lipstick is set it lasts for a good 4 hours as long as you don't eat or drink anything in that time it won't need reapplying.

This one is Frambourjoise which looks like a brilliant red but it is really a super dark pink, when it has set on the lips is is stunning. Unlike other liquid lipstick the colour stays true to colour when first applied, it doesn't fade or darken after application!

Its perfect for both day and night wear as the colour can be intensified with a few more coats or could we worn quite muted with just a little but of product.

L'Oréal Infaillible Mattifying Primer ❤

LOREAL Infallible Mattifying Base

I have been using this base now for about a month to get a really good feel for it, sometimes you can use a product the first few times and love it, but after a few week it decides to break you out and play havoc with your skin! Well thankfully this product has been brilliant for me.

The silicon based primer is smooths onto the skin and makes applying foundation a dream. The formula is mattifying, so if you are someone who struggles with too much shine then this would be prefect. I have normal skin with dry patches and this smooths over effortlessly and doesn't cling to any dry patches.

A little really does do the trick and it doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy.

Like most primers it is supposed to smooth out pores and lines, honestly i didn't notice my pores being reduced at all but it is amazing for keeping makeup put all day long.

I really would recommend this primer to any one and everyone. Its a super cheap primer that keeps excess shine at bay and keeps foundation looking fresh all day!
